Stampin Up 3x5 note pad holder

Hello,

Today's post will be short. My computer crashed so I have to do this from another source. The note pad holder below was a prize I raffled off in my last class. Please see the post it note holder for detailed instructions in an earlier post.

I know that the measurements are hard to see I am sorry about that. Score at: 4, 4 1/2 and 5.
The measurements to cut for the pen holder are 1 1/2 and 2 1/2.

The card stock is cut at 5 1/4 x 8 1/2. The picture has an error ( not 8 1/5)

Dress Up Frames

Hello,

Today's post is in tribute to the great class we had this past weekend.  I must say that the final projects all came out awesome!  The girls always do an excellent job on their projects.  This project was inspired by Stampin Up demonstrator Patty Bennett and her beautiful frames she made.  The awesome tulle dress was cased by Stampin Up demonstrator Kimberly Van Diepen.  She has a great YouTube video available on how to make the tulle dress. Thanks Kimberly for the video!

The ladies all had different inspiration for their frames.  A new participant Carina was inspired by the seasons, Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Clever!

Thank you all for participating in the class.

Stampin Up note pad holder

Happy TGIF!

I hope all is well with everyone today.  Today's post is in keeping with the theme of "note pad holders".  This is a larger version of the post-it note holder in a previous post.  The main objective I really wanted to get across today is that you can create a holder for just about any note pad you find.  You just have to measure, measure measure!  lol!  You might go through a couple of tries before you get the perfect measurements but it's worth the effort. The note pad I used in this project came in a pack of 3 (3"x 5" pads) from a dollar store.  You can create a few of these cute note pads in a short amount of time and for little money.  We all can appreciate that!

The measurements I used for this note pad is shown in the picture below.  The card stock was cut at 5 1/4"x 7" long. Score at 3 1/4 and 3 3/4 (these measurements are for a note pad measuring 3 x5). NOTE: The white strip shown below is what holds the note pad in place (It's white so it's easier to see).  Insert the back part of the note pad behind this strip.  You will use sticky strip (cut in half) on each side (as pictured below).  This unique but simple idea was actually inspired by my father a few years back when I made him a a large note pad holder with a Raider football theme (his favorite team of course). With my dad's note pad , I glued the note pad  to the card stock. He loved it so much but made the comment that he didn't want to use it because once the paper was gone he wouldn't be able to refill the holder.  A light bulb went off in my head and we both immediately had the exact same idea to make the note pad holder refillable!

I hope this inspires you to make a few for gifts.   Decorate as little or as much as you want.  Wrap them up in a cello bag and with beautiful ribbon (as shown above) for a quick but cute gift!

Stampin Up Post It Note Holder

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful Spring weather. Sorry I have been MIA but I haven't been feeling that great and life seems to get in the way of Craft time. Speaking of craft time I had a great day with my sister Tanya. I took a day off to spend it with my sis and to have fun paper crafting. Plus we made yummy chocolate cupcakes. The first project we tackled was a Post it note holder. It's pretty easy to make and it makes a great little gift. I was first introduced to this holder by my friend Chris (she's also a SU demonstrator). If I do say so myself my sister did a great job on her project (of course!). You can see her project at the end of this post.

I whipped one up with one of my favorite color combos. Stampin Up's Island Indigo and Pool Party with a hint of Rich Razzleberry. I love these colors and happy to report that they are staying! Yes, SU is adding them to the regular card stock line. I am so happy about that! I will post more on the colors in a later post.

To make this post it note holder please refer to the picture above for measurements and where to score.   Also, make sure you use sticky strip to seal the pen holder.  Hint: the sticky strip goes on the fold of the longest side. When you are ready to fill your holder with the post it pad just peel off the back page and stick the pad onto the card stock holder directly.  Don't use adhesive to glue the post it pad to the holder because than you will not be able to refill your holder with new pads.

Once you make one you will be hooked!
