Stampin Up Scallop Circle Chick Card

Hello, now that we have Valentine's Day behind us, it's time to focus on Easter. Wow Easter! how time fly's.  Weren't we just celebrating the New Year?! lol! Today's post is a cute card I cased from a talented demonstrator I found on Pinterest.  It's a cute Easter chick easel card.  Super easy to make and oh soooo cute!  It could also be used for a baby shower card.

When cutting your card base use a piece of CS measuring 4 3/4 x 11'' and score at 5 1/2 on the 11' side.  Fold the CS in half and place the CS on the sizzix die just under the scallop circle like the picture below. The picture is really hard to see but by placing the CS just under the scallop circle prevents the entire piece from being die cut.  It leaves the card base with a folded edge (like the picture below).

Cut one scallop circle for the top of the card (body of the chick)and glue to base.  You will glue the scallop circle piece only on half of the card base front (just below the scored line as pictured below).
This creates the easel card.

Embellish the card as little or as much as you wish.  Make sure you use dimensionals or 3D dots for the punched sentiment on the inside of the card.  This holds the easel card in place.
Please see the list of supplies I used below.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

1. Stampin Up card stock (CS)
2. Scallop circle sizzix die
3. Scallop circle punch ( wings & feet)
4. Blossom punch (peach fuzz hair)
5. 3/4 circle punch, 1/2 circle punch (eyes)
6. Heart framelits-small heart (beak)

Stampin Up cupcake card and tea light cake

Hello,

TGIF! It has been a long week and I had last Monday off. lol! Today's post is a cupcake card I made for the daughter of a coworker.  I have been wanting to make one of my cupcake cards for a while so I thought it was perfect timing.

I created my own template for the LARGE cupcake card and cut it out on Stampin Up card stock.  Please leave a comment if you would like the Pdf cupcake template via email.  Unfortunately I was unable to upload the template to share. I am still learning to navigate this blog so please have patience :)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Stampin Up Gift Card holder

Good morning, today's post is a gift card holder I made for my aunt's (Tia Jova) birthday.  It was a "Big" birthday but I will not reveal which one!  Lol!  She doesn't look her age at all!
This box was actually inspired by a Valentine treat I received from a friend from work.  As I opened the box to get to the chocolate I thought....... box template? Goes to show that you can literally get inspiration from just about anything.

I traced the box template on a 12 x 12 card stock sheet and cut it out. There was not enough room to trace the tab insert but that was ok because I wanted to use ribbon to close the box.

Use sticky strip on the tab to seal the box. You do have to score lines on the box but that is simple enough with your bone folder and an old fashion ruler. This method is easier for me than trying to match it up on a scoring tool.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up Heart Box

Happy Valentine's Day!  I hope everyone has a great day filled with lots of love.  Today's post is a Heart Candy box with a built in card.  The box is made with Stampin Up's Heart framelits (largest size).  The side is a piece of CS measuring 2" x 7 1/2".  I scored at 1/2" on both sides (long side of cs). Than fold in half to form a "V" shape. Cut/trim where necessary to keep the "V" shape than adhere to heart shapes (one at a time) to form the box.  Always use sticky strip when making 3D projects.

The handle measures 1/2" x 11". Use brads to attach to box. The card is made from the second largest shapes in the Heart framelits collection.  Use velcro to keep the card close.  Let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine's Day Owl boxes

Hello, I hope everyone had a good weekend.  Today's post is the Valentine's Day treats my niece Frankie will trade with her class mates.  I have made her Valentine's Day treats for the last few years and this is what I came up with for this year.  This cute Owl box is made from what is called a "2,4,6,8 box".  A very simple box that has been around for a long time.

Your card stock (CS) will measure 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (you will get two boxes from one piece of CS).

On the long side you will score at 2, 4, 6 and 8".  Turn your CS to the shorter side (5 1/2) and score at 2".

The supplies I used are from Stampin Up (current and retired items).
Framelits Labels---Head
1 3/4 Scallop circle punch--Chest and wings
Blossom punch--Feet
1/2, 3/4 circle punches-Eyes
retired heart punch

If you have any questions please leave a comment and I will get back with you as soon as I can.
Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine's matchbook treats

Hello and welcome to my very first blog post.  I am so excited to start sharing creative ideas with you all.  This is my first Blog ever so I hope you all can bear with me as I enter into this new adventure. I will start off slow and will try to post at least two times a week.  My first post will be about Valentine projects I have been working on.  These are really easy fun ideas for a sweet treat for that special Valentine. The supplies used are from Stampin Up.

To make this simple match book cover you will cut your card stock (CS) 4 1/4 x 10 1/2 and score at 3/4, 5 1/4 and at 6".  The suckers are decorated using the Sizzix Pillow Box die and Stampin Up punches.

I hope you enjoyed my first post and make sure you stop by again to check out more crafty projects!
